Hungry children who have to grow up in muddy, rat-infested dwellings, with dripping plastic bags for a roof and freezing cold in winter, can hardly concentrate on their homework.
Unfortunately there are far too many children who are still growing up under conditions that we would not expect any animal to live under.
That’s why one of our most enduring aids is, to build nice homes for large families who are living in inhumane conditions. Giving a warm and safe home that lasts for generations, is far more than just an act of charity. Due to the new given standards and the resulting new possibilities, at least the children will be able to learn to completely renew their thinking. That is key to overcome the chains of poverty. In a new warm and clean home, they can better focus on school and double their chances of improving their life; integrate into society and lead a life independent of financial assistance - for themselves, theirs children and grandchildren. That means sustainable success over generations.
